____The rowing base being designed will include training and boathouse facilities. The land plot reserved for construction of the facilities shares the Western border with Kupiškis Lagoon. The building being designed is a single-floor building with a basement.
Installation of a site intended for keeping boats has been planned on the Eastern part of the building between the building and Kupiškis Lagoon. Two pontoon piers for academic boats have been planned at Kupiškis Lagoon. The existing marina is undergoing some reconstructions in order to adapt it for mooring motor boats. Installation of a pier for award ceremonies has been planned on the South-Western part of Island “Uošvės liežuvis” [Mother-in-Law’s Tongue].
____Technical premises intended for the training pool equipment, boathouse for keeping academic rowing boats (from 24 to 48 boats depending on their length), and a workshop for making repairs on boats are being designed on the basement of the building. Entrance for maintenance purposes is being designed on the Eastern side and it could be accessed from the Lagoon.
____Plans for installation of the building include a recreational area with a kitchen to be used by athletes; office and study rooms; a conference hall with a total capacity of up to 40 people; locker rooms with sanitation facilities; a gym training facilities designed for cardio fitness and weightlifting equipment. Premises designed for inventory are planned to be equipped next the gym. The gym will have a direct access to the rowing pool facilities.
